Low Maintenance Nude Polish

No matter how I type that title, it sounds like I’m talking about things…other than polish!  YIKES!  ANYWAY!  I got the itch to put some polish back on my nails after about a week without.  As I’ve mentioned, no way (at least for the time being) will I be able to keep up with my old posting schedule and polishing routine.  However, when I slap some color on, I’ll do my best to share.
After photographing I realized just how badly my nails and cuticles need some TLC. I need to go out and restock on some of my products.  One being 100% acetone.  Cleaning up the nails without it is just a mess.  The second being some good ol’ cuticle butter.
As for the nail polish.  I wanted something low maintenance because I do have little ones and my hands take a daily beating. My polish will start showing wear extremely quickly and to avoid the job of removal, I just slapped some nude polish on as it will be somewhat camouflaged when it chips.
It is hard to tell from the photo, but it is a mixture of colors.  I started with Essie Topless & Barefoot and then blotted on a couple other Essie nudes, pinks, and whites.  I thought it would be fun to have a sort of hidden design/pattern.  Next time I will probably put some deeper shades so they stand out more, though.
Let me know… What colors are you pulling out now that spring is here?  What are some of your long-standing favorites?
