I was finally in the mood to do a quick & simple nail art design last week. I chose to do something very fall-based since last weekend marked the first day of autumn. I used an image plate with leaves on it and stamped it across the nail in 4 different colors. I have a bronze, a gold, a berry, and green. The leaves were stamped in SpaRitual and aEngland polishes.
I quickly discovered that the image plate wasn't cut as deeply as it should have been, so the details on the leaves didn't transfer perfectly. I think it still shows up okay, though, so all is well. At the end I went back in with a small dotting tool and randomly placed dots in the same colors as the leaves. I wanted to fill in the empty spaces.
Because I am not comfortable using Seche Vite while pregnant, I used a Julep top coat to seal in the design. It has a thickness like Seche Vite, but is 4-free (Seche isn't).
