Woot! I managed to squeeze in a manicure for St. Patrick's Day! It isn't much, but hey, it is something! I don't know about world wide, but in the states, it is an excuse for anyone and everyone to pretend...for a day... that they are Irish and drink like a fish. So, if you are going out this weekend, please be careful!

My nails were ready for a manicure change and my son requested that I paint them green. Smart little guy, that works perfectly in time with St. Patrick's Day AND allows me to try out a new polish I ordered! You can see this particular base color in my haul from yesterday.

I started by applying a single coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails. That was followed up with three coats of SpaRitual Introspective. Next, I applied one coat of Seche Vite. When that had set up just enough, I stamped on the four leaf clover with a Born Pretty Store plate and SpaRitual Twisted Vine. I am only wearing the clover on my ring fingers. After the stamp was on, I did apply one final coat of Seche Vite to seal in the design. Extremely, extremely simple!
As for my thoughts on the SpaRitual
Introspective polish.... it did take three coats. It was extremely thin, sheer, and streaky. I had to build up the layers in order for it to be smooth and opaque. However, once it was on, it really made me happy. The color is a fun springtime green. It isn't
quite as pastel as my photos are making it appear. Yet, it is softer than a typical grass green. It falls somewhere in the middle. I don't believe I have anything exactly like it in my collection. I thought it was a creme finish, but upon closer inspection, I think it has some micro fine shimmers sparsely swirled into it. There aren't a lot and I can only see them if I'm looking extremely close. You can purchase this polish at the Apothica site for $12.00. I believe the price of the SpaRitual polishes has gone up a bit. Previously, I could get a bottle for $10.00 (except the ones with gold dust). Also, the mini bottles have gone up in price. Before, they were $5.00 and now $6.50 ...just a heads up if you wanted to order or have ordered in the past.

Cute St. Patty's day mani! I love the color of the SpaRitual polish!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Liz! Isn't it a fun spring green? It sort of reminds me of the Easter grass you can get to put inside of baskets :-)
