Julep: Ginger

In this month's Julep Maven box, I received this stunner. It is in the color Ginger.  This one is a lovely holographic nude-beige, though it does have the slightest pink tinge to it.  I'm absolutely in love.  I don't think I have ever been so thrilled with a Julep polish as I am with Ginger.  If Julep would make more like this, I'd dance around.

Ginger is quite interesting.  It is a holographic that in some lights comes off as a scattered holo, though you can also see in this picture, it definitely looks linear!  AMAZING!
I love that Julep decided to make something flashy, what with being a holo, yet remain tame in color.  That, in my opinion, is brilliant.  It keeps it wearable, yet with interest.    This can, without question, be safe for work, but you'll feel like you still have something exciting on.   This is a polish I can easily see myself wearing year round.  It is elegant and quite classy.

Application wasn't entirely perfect.  I noticed if you went over an area twice it could start to pull off the first layer and create patches.  I had to be very careful to be gentle with the brush and do light brush strokes.  I managed to get it to work out just fine, but that is something to keep in mind.

When I had finished applying the polish, I did notice that it semi-mattified.  It didn't have a nice, glossy finish. I had to apply a top coat to restore a shine to it.  I decided to try out the new top coat that was also included in this box.  So far so good, but I want to try it out a few more times before I give my official thoughts or a review.
This is the polish using the flash on my camera

Don't forget, you can still get a fantastic deal on your first box by clicking HERE! and typing in FREEBOX at checkout.

    1. ;-) Why, thank you! This really is a beautiful polish. It is going to have to be put into rotation more often....and that will be easy with how much I'm enjoying it.

  2. wow I'm finally starting to see more interesting shade from the brand. If they make more glitters, duochromes, and holos, I'd definitely sign up! :D
